The past might be dictating how or why you should be cautious or reluctant to take the risk youre being encouraged to take now. However, perhaps, in the first instance, you should be asking yourself what you have to lose by doing so. Then, focus on what you stand to gain. That should hopefully dispel any fears that history will repeat itself. It wont. Read more... summary pisces tomorrow Star 9/10 We are all aware of how less can often be more. Best bang for the buck
The finish on these rivals wrenches at twice the price. They have a slender handle and the box end appears to be of good quality, much better than similar priced entry level wrenches found in the big box stores. I bought these for a simple tool kit for my daughters as they move out on their own. I looked at pre-made kits and they just seemed like junk with wrenches that would fall apart. It cost a bit more making up my own tool kits, but I know the quality will hold up and I can actually get tools I'll need and use. Yes, my daughters probably will never use the stuff, but when I come to visit, they will be there to take care of the little repairs.

Nice inexpensive set of metric combination wrenches
I'm an occasional wrench user. When replacing a car battery recently I found that my metric sockets weren't the best tool for the nuts on the cables. These seem fine. If I were a mechanic or in another trade where I used wrenches every day I might look for something more expensive. For my needs these are perfect.

Not USA built... but good quality none the less.
Review is for CCWS2 SAE set of 10 These Crescent labeled polished wrenches are the same quality as other Apex produced tools like Gearwrench. I've always gone out of my way to buy good quality USA built tools, but sadly, with most production now moving overseas, there's not much left in this price range anymore. These wrenches, though they are overseas sourced, are very nice, high quality, comfortable, polished, cleanly stamped tools. I'm actually amazed at how nice this set of 10 is for $15.53, I bought it to fill in the missing 1/4" and 1/2" wrenches in a Matco set for the time being, the rest of the set went into the travel box. These wrenches were actually longer than the Matco's they're replacing, and the quality isn't that far removed believe it or not. If you just need 1/4" to 3/4", you wont find a better set for the price.

Well done Crescent!
I'm really impressed with quality of these wrenches. I bought these just to fill out some missing sizes but I was surprised at how nice the polished finish looks and how good they feel in my hand. They come in a really nice holding rack that is compact and convenient. I'm eager to show these to my friends who are Snap On snobs!

VERY high quality tools.
Probably made in China but then what isn't these days? They are clearly capable of manufacturing high quality merchandise when they want to and these are very clearly VERY high quality. I imagine the Crescent brand insists on immaculate QC no matter where their tools are made. Very happy with these.

The real thing, for reasonable cost.
These wrenches are the real thing, well made, balanced, and finished. So many of the cheaper Asian import tools are soft or feel like they were balanced by a 3 year old; not this set. I would definitely recommend. You can spend more money on wrenches, but you can't buy much more wrench.

Decent quality
I don’t know how may sets of these I’ve bought guessing 6 or 7 given some away as gifts, got a couple sets on my service truck been happy with them, still reach for my S-K wrenches first but use these when I need 2 wrenches or when someone wants to borrow a tool. At this price point I don’t feel as bad when I have to cut or bend a wrench to get into an area where some sadistic engineer said,Hey let’s put another bolt back up there under the manifold between turbo and waste gate, only accessible from the bottom with the starter removed, and that’s the one we hang the wiring harness from. Followed by an evil Mwah ha ha ha. That’s right engineers we’re onto you. Good wrenches Good price Good gift I’ve just talked myself into ordering another set.

Great wrenches...so far
Can't comment about durability as I've only had them a month. I'm an auto tech and have used them five days a week for that month, though. My beloved Snap-On SAE set of 20+ years was the casualty of a burglary of a former shop. Insurance paid pennies on the dollar, so here I am buying these...at a $800 discount. The finish of these wrenches is quite nice and surely not what I expected. Open-ends on a handful of the bigger sizes have seen some abuse on salt country tie rods for alignments and shown zero chipping that you would expect from such a low priced set. As long as you aren't slipping a six foot pipe on the end of one of these, it's a great buy.

Good most common metric combination wrenches
Good selection of metric wrenches. Nice because it doesn’t exclude some numbers within the range. Standard length. The closed end is 12 notch so you can use it for both 12 and 6 hex bolts and nuts. I hit them with a hammer and didn’t break. They did send me the sae but I scheduled an exchange and got the metric ones i ordered the next day and gave post office the old ones with the label I was provided in the return and exchange process.

Open end wrench kit
I give this a high rating because I will only use it for household use. They look and feel sturdy enough though, but Tec-ton and Snap-on are too expensive for my tastes for this purpose. I have a few old Snap-on wrench's like this that I got from my dad, who was an auto mechanic. These Crescents look somewhat like my dad's old Snap-on's in the polished finish and all, but for some sneaky reason, I don't feel they will be as durable for long time industrial use, but that's another story.
